We combine the luxury of the Palm Springs west valley with the agricultural excellence of the east valley to produce truly unique and flavorful beer. Using local citrus, herbs, honey, and spices, we support local farms and flavors. We believe sustainability, creativity, and passion are the key ingredients in the best craft beer." -CVB
Kölsch Style Ale (4.7% abv)
As fun, popular and whimsical as the annual local music festival, Kölschella is a Kolsch light golden hybrid ale which is fermented warm and then lagered to produce a crisp, clean, and refreshing ale.
Kölschella is light in body with a very pale straw color, adorned with a whipped cream like head. Our Kolsch has moderate bitterness due to the additions of spicy imported German Noble hops such as Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, Tettnanger, and Spalter Select. A somewhat vinous (grape-y from German wheat and pilsner malts) carry through to create a squeaky clean dry finish, we have found this to be one of the most sessionable year round beers in our lineup.
Turn up the tunes and crack a Kölschella!
Double Rye India Pale Ale (7% abv)
By definition, a monumental occasion is one of very great significance and size. Coachella Valley Brewing Company’s Monumentous, aptly named after the Joshua Tree National Monument, is much more!
The 800,000 acre Joshua Tree National Monument is an environmental paradox which is unwelcoming, even brutal during the heat of summer yet delicate and extremely fragile. Home to oases, dry lakes, deserts, flat valleys that reach sea level and rugged mountains Joshua Tree is the place where they all work together in harmony.
In respect to the harmonious balance of the Park we selected a delicate yet ranging array of hops from the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand. We employ hop additions to the kettle, whirlpool, and use whole hop flowers in our hop back as well as two separate dry hop additions to create a true to style West Coast Style Double Rye India Pale Ale meant to be savored when its fresh by our fellow hop heads so please don’t age this beer away. Join us and pay homage to the hop Gods by drinking this brew varied and delicate as its namesake national monument.
22oz Desert Swarm
Honey Double Wit (7% ABV)
Desert Swarm is CVB’s take on Belgian Style Witbier referring to the beers cloudy appearance. Desert Swarm is brewed with Raw Unmalted wheat, imported Belgian malts, Oats, Punjab coriander, locally grown kumquats from Coachella, California and Killer Bee Honey from Lance Davis’ Killer Bee honey, www. killerbeeinc123.com. Paying homage to the style which was once almost extinct, Desert Swarm decants the color of apricots, with a foamy alabaster cap of Belgian lacing, that dissipates quickly releasing the fragrance of citrus and honeycomb. The creamy mouth-feel is contrasted by tart, lip-prickling fizz, carried with it nectar like sweetness which is cut by the kumquats, and just a hint of stomach-stoking warmth right in to the finish from the addition of Killer Bee Honey. Lance’s live bee removal company never uses any pesticides and all of the bees removed are collected live and moved to Lance’s hives outside of residential areas.
Desert Swarm ensures that killer bees will not be the only ones creating a buzz.
Phoenix dactylifera is a the genus name for the date palm tree which has long been cultivated for its edible sweet fruit. Phoenix Vienna lager is brewed with German Pilsner, Vienna, Carapils malts, and locally grown Medjoul Dates which are added to the boil. Subtle German Noble hop bitterness provides balance and crisp flavor, with notes of toffee, dates and figs shining through into the finish. Phoenix is fermented with a Mexican Lager yeast and then lagered for an additional 60 days the result is a quaffable malt forward lager with an influence of Medjool Dates for a uniquely local Coachella Valley flavor. Pairs extremely well with spicy foods including bbq, and of course all Mexican food.
Phoenix is a mythical bird cyclically regenerated and reborn symbolizing renewal, and exemplifying the intense Coachella Valley sun, as well as life in a heavenly Paradise. With that we thought of no better offering that would embody one of the most prized offerings of the Coachella Valley date growers, so enjoy Phoenix again and again and again.
One of our core six beers, this Belgian seasonal is named after the massive wind farms in the north end of the Palm Springs I-10 corridor stretching out towards Cabazon. This beer accentuates big bubblegum flavors from the Belgian yeast strain and equally robust citrus and tropical flavors from the large hop additions during boil and even more after fermentation, giving the Windfarm a huge aromatic zestiness.
